SnapState Chrome Extension for App Snapshots

The extension gives reporters a fast capture button inside the browser. It is the simplest way to preserve the state of an app they are already using.

Built for authenticated apps

SnapState focuses on the pages that normal screenshot tools struggle with: internal tools, dashboards, admin panels, staging environments, onboarding flows, and customer support views.

The extension captures the active tab when the user asks it to. Richer diagnostics can be enabled per site when a team wants more context.

  • One-click capture from the toolbar.
  • Privacy settings before sharing.
  • Secure link returned after upload.

Before the extension is public

If the extension is not yet public in the Chrome Web Store, request beta access first. Early teams can still evaluate the capture workflow through a guided install or private distribution path.

Once the public listing is live, this page can point directly to the Chrome Web Store.

Permissions explained

SnapState needs page access during capture so it can read the current app state. Site-specific permissions may be requested for richer diagnostics when a team wants recent network or console context.

Plain permission copy is part of the product experience for a security-sensitive tool.
